A downloadable game for Windows

Story and Setting:

Humans have started to spread out throughout the galaxy by colonizing habitable planets. Colonization of one such planet, codenamed Vikas 9, started out like any other. While studying the planet closer, a hibernating alien species was awoken. With no way of stopping the alien onslaught with the current resources on the planet, the only option is to evacuate. You play as one of the very few security mech pilots on the planet, holding back the alien horde long enough for the evacuation to complete.

Gameplay Mechanics:

Desolate Exodus is a horde shooter with tower-defense elements. You will hold back a never ending increasingly difficult swarm of enemies while defending a transport vehicle until the area is evacuated. Main objectives will need to be completed to speed up or finish evacuation efforts. You will be able to upgrade your mechs health, speed, damage, etc. You will also be able to buy and place defensive structures like turrets to assist in your defense. In order to buy these upgrades and structures you will need to earn currency which is accumulated by killing enemies and completing side objectives.

Art Assets:

The majority of our assets are outsourced. Some assets that we are particularly fond of are the alien model and the mech model.

Game Expo:

This game will be finished and playable during and after the Florida Polytechnic University Game Expo, which will take place on December 4th. During the expo voting will be taking place and we would greatly appreciate your support.
